We will give you our registered address and the name of our representative on request, without delay.

What we receive

Just reading this site doesn't give us your name, your email address, or anything else that identifies you.

If you contact us through one of our forms, we receive:

• Report-an-error form: the onsen, which information, what's wrong, a source URL, and your email (optional — only if you want a reply).

• Form for onsen operators: the onsen's name, the name of the person in charge, a contact email or phone number, the request, answers about unconfirmed items, and photos.

What we use it for

Only for:

• checking, correcting and updating listings, and removing them on request;

• replying to you;

• publishing facts an onsen tells us about itself (such as its tattoo policy). We never publish the name or contact details of the person who told us.

Sharing

We don't give what you send us to anyone else, unless the law requires it.

Services we use

Our forms run on Google Forms, so your answers are stored on Google's servers (Google Privacy Policy).

This site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps access logs — such as your IP address and browser type — in order to deliver pages (Cloudflare Privacy Policy). We don't use these logs to identify you.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, a Google service, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

Google Analytics uses cookies to record which pages you view, where you came from, your device and browser, and your approximate location. It doesn't record your name, email address, or anything else that identifies you.

Google collects and manages this data (How Google uses data from sites that use its services).

To opt out, turn off cookies in your browser, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Keeping and deleting

We keep what you send as a record of how each listing changed. If you'd like it deleted, tell us through the contact point below.

Your requests

To see, correct, stop the use of, or delete your information — or to ask about this policy — use the form on our Report an error page, and say what you're asking for in the details field.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll say so on this page.
